A successful history of a Sweater Project:
Bangladesh is one of the leading Readymade Garments Manufacturer and Exporters in the World. In good linked with India, Pakistan, China, Hong Kong, Korea, Cambodia, Turkey and other countries, Bangladesh has been catering to the global RMG supply and demand factors. This RMG sector exclusively earns more than 70% of Bangladesh's foreign currency. As an active member of the Bangladesh Garments Manufacturer and Exporters Association (known as BGMEA), Nexus Sweater Industries (Pvt) Limited has been playing a vital role in the country's economy.
Beginning of it's journey back in the year 1999 with only 150 machines established in a rented facility, Nexus Sweaters is now one of the leading members of the BGMEA with over 1,400 machines in it's own 8 stored building (Nexus Tower) and having with all modern facilities office to enhance our total performance and to keep liaison to our valuable clients in time including all documentation and correspondences. We have 2,00,000 sqf. Well environment working area with over 3,000 skilled employees.
In August 2007 – we have added 12 Nos. of very modern & diversified Jacquard / Intarsia machines (Origin: China) in our production line by considering the demand of our existing buyers. We have appointed Chinese technicians for these machines and to train up our local peoples here and also our three designers performing training in China at ground based since last 2 months.
This was not easy, it hardship in obtaining essential components for sweater industry in political restlessness, bureaucratic red tape, employment disputes, international trade fluctuation ratio and above all, a very fast changing pace in the sweater industry could not stop our making headways. In 2006, Nexus Sweater has exported a total of 2.2 million pieces sweaters to the world markets worth of US$ 9.00 million. It has been possible only because of a continuous support from our loyal and valued customers like you. We sincerely appreciate all; those who supported our relentless efforts to get succeed in this highly competitive market.
A Journey of a Composite knit project:
To keep trend and demand of world fashion market – Nexus Fashion Ltd., have established in the year 2006 as sister concern company of NEXUS GROUP with 12 lines of sewing machines (consisted with 300 modern sewing Machines, Brand: ‘Juki’, Japan) with its capacity of knitting and to be expanding a total complete composite unit very soon.
Our Quality and Commitment:
Our valued customers always come first & thereof, we have a slogan that ‘BUYER FIRST’. We maintain a high Quality system of Inspection policy to ensures the buyer Quality Standard AQL 1.5 & 2.5 by seriously controlling in every steps of production from Yarn, knitting, Finishing, Accessories checking, Packing up to loading into containers. All these activities being conducted by the numbers of well-skilled merchandisers followed by the team of technical know how inspectors. Moreover, we have good integrated plan & policy in every stage of production very strongly to maintain the commitment of delivery schedule as stipulated.
Healthy & Safety:
Health and safety is a major concern of our Company. We check regular basis in order to ensure that all electric lines and equipment in safe and order. Protective gloves and masks are given to workers who are working risk concern area. Moreover, we have appointed MBBS doctor for regular checking of workers and employees.
No Child Labour:
All workers are working in the factory, above the age 18 (Eighteen) as per the agreement signed between our Association and the International Labour Organization (ILO). All workers give written declarations regarding their age. If any worker is in doubtful category, are verified by the Civil Surgeons office of Bangladesh. This is the procedure of Labour Law. So there is no Child Labour in our factory.
Achievement:
It is our immense pleasure to announce that we have already achieved ISO 14001:2004 on Management system & environment as result of our well established working place and good managementa system.
